Roumeliotika is the oldest type of Kypri with the characteristic open shape of the lips, the sweet melodious sound and the great volume they produce. They are classified as cast bells because of their way of manufacturing, since the copper and other metal alloy takes shape in a mold. They are used on lambs, goats, sheep, cattle and mules. They match any type of bell in the herd as they are easily "tuned" to each other.
