Commonly attached to goats (especially billy goats), but also used on sheep, cattle, and working mules. Often used in sets of different sizes to create a natural scale of tones within a herd. Loud, resonant bell, designed to carry over long distances in open terrain and valued for being easy to tune and harmonize with other types of bells. An extensive range of weights and sizes allows for optimal adaptation across the herd, down to each individual animal.
